Meet Our Staff

Bruce Easton
Director, Manager and Head Guide; 30 years of experience guiding in Australia and overseas with a wealth of experience in the Backcountry and Mountains.
A Trainer with the Australian Professional Snowsports Instructors (APSI).
A level 3 Nordic instructor and Level 3 Telemark instructor.
American Institute of Education and Avalanche Research (AIARE) Avalanche Level II course graduate.
A wealth of knowledge based on real experience in many mountains throughout the world.  
Retains a passion to ski and learn along with beginnners to experts in the sport and enjoy the winter seasons.  
Has a long history in outdoor pursuits in Australia and abroad

Ros Easton (Cleworth)
Director, administrative guru and organiser; An APSI Level 2 Telemark and Level 3 Nordic Instructor.  PACI Cert 3 Single Pitch Abseiling and Rock Climbing with 18 years experience in the Snowy Mountains, providing hundreds of young students an introduction to rock, outdoor sports fostering an appreciation of our environment.
Has overseas experience climbing, hiking and skiing, a very experienced skier and patient instructor.  
Enjoys many of the outdoor adventure pursuits based in the Kosciusko National Park, sea kayaking, hiking, Mt Biking in summer. 

Steve Colman
Director - started work life as the first professional backcountry ski guide/instructor in Australia.  Established the adventure travel company Wilderness Expeditions in 1977.  Has led many expeditions to wild places both within Australia and overseas.  A passionate skier and explorer of the backcountry.
Since 1988 has consulted and facilitated programs in Australia and overseas on organisational change, leadership and team development through his company Global Learning.

 

Adrian Blake
A very experienced Cross Country Instructor and Coach.  Over recent years has spent his summers in Europe following the Masters Cross Country Ski Racing Circuit.   A life time of outdoor adventure both in Australia and overseas.  A passion for introducing young people to outdoor adventures in summer and winter.

Bec Easton
A Snowy Mountains native, Bec is part of our administration and management team. She also teaches when time permits!
Growing up in the area she has always had an interest in anything outdoors, in summer she is out training horses, hiking, kayaking, and bouldering, and in the winter season she's out on the nordic trails or getting her tele legs back.
If you're after anything in particular, Bec is your girl!
Whilst mostly in administration, Bec is also a qualified APSI Level 2 instructor.

Takako Bailey
Originally from Japan, Takako is now a Jindy local. Takako is our all round lady, who takes care of pretty much anything!
On her days off she is an active member of the local SES Rescue team, avid skier and general outdoor lover!

Zane Amos
Another Jindy local, Zane is our go-to workshop technician. 
Although a mechanic by trade, Zane has spent many years guiding in both NSW and VIC for companies like ALI and Camp Coolamatong.
Zane know's the Snowy's like the back of his hand having hiked, MTB'd and 4WD'd most of the trails.

Special Mention:

Brian Brown (1960-2012)
Backcountry Guide, Telemark and Nordic Instructor - a very experienced teacher with loads of experience. Brian was a mainstay of our Perisher Hire and Ski School from 2005 to 2011. His talents encouraging students on our summer school camps over recent years have been very much missed.
